And Kessler, if your good your good. look at Rocky Marciano he fought everybody, just everybody was old and not very good anymore.
Calzaghe fought everybody in his homeland and now he has come here fighting stars. Not protected just not american fighters tht u know.
Your right it doesnt matter who you fight..its the 67-0 record that matters..thats why brian nielsen, the danish pastry, is the greatest heavyweight ever.
lol

If you're good you fight everybody. But there is always somebody around the world that can beat you. No matter who you are, or how good you are, somebody's style is going to work against yours. So the fighters with the 0's ARE over protected. Floyd hasn't taken any risks at all. I'd have alot of respect for him if you fought every credible oppenent and even lost 1 or 2. But no, he handpicked his fights and won them all. Thats not a true champion.

Any fighter that has fought the best around doesn't have a '0' on their record. The people with records like Joe's and Floyds are overprotected. Anybody with a 0 after 40 fights have obviously carefully picked their fights.

I forgot to mention Cintron, Collazo n Quintana.
Instead he fought Sharmba Mitchell, Carlos Manuel Baldomir, Henry Bruseles, DeMarcus Corley. You think these people are where more well known than the 5 I mentioned? Even at the time of those fights. I don't think so....

At the time, all of those fighters were well known and bring in alot of money.
How can you say Clottey is a nobody?!?!?!?! wtf? thats just wierd. Do u even watch boxing?
|
|
|
Why didn't he fight Paul Williams? Why didn't he fight Clottey? Why didn't he fight Marg? Why didn't he fight Cotto? Why didn't he fight Mosley?
It's not high risk n no money or nothin like that. All of these fighters are well known.
Thats a long list of people to duck. He can't call himself the best without beating the best in the division. His biggest fights were Hatton n old DLH. Hatton never did stand a chance against him n DLH was already past it.
Stop bein a bad bad nuthugger and realise he aint what you make him out to be.

LOL he did fight nobodys. He got criticism his whole career for fighting nobodies. He even fought a part time boxer who was also a police man. Yes, he beat over rated Toney and a young Hopkins. He didnt do much else.

I think Floyd is very skilled. Could of been an ATG. He never proved that tho, Mikkel is right.
He only fought people he knew he could beat. Never ever took a risk. Same with RJJ. Did anybody think Ricky could actually beat floyd? Zab Judah? He was never the same after the jelly legs Kostya gave him.
IMO he lost to Castillo in the first fight. He retired smartly as Margarito, Cotto and Clottey would all give him hard fights and maybe even beat him
