I'm back on XP now so I'll get 3D installed and come get smashed up by some of you guys. What times do you play usually as I've forgotten where I made that thread asking you the first time, I think it was on BF.

A dedicated server would be a great idea and you could use a free forum such as SMF to list what servers are active etc.

Well I installed Ubuntu (8.10), updated my drivers (click the popup window in the task bar, you will see what I mean, a big ass balloon pops up) then I updated my packages etc by going to:

"Applications>>Accessories>>Terminal" and type:

sudo apt-get update

I then installed Wine:

sudo apt-get install wine

I then configured Wine to run as a virtual desktop by going to:

"Applications>>Wine>>Configure Wine>>Graphics tab"

Check the box which reads "Emulate a virtual desktop" and I chose 800x600 for the resolution.

Download the "ob3d.msi" and double click it as normal (or right click and choose the Wine option, the top one), Wine will run it just the same as it does on Windows XP and I installed it to:

"C:/games/online boxing" <<<<< this is a Wine directory "/home/USER NAME HERE/.wine/dosdevices/c:"

I then goto:

"Applications>>Wine>>Browse C:/ drive"

I go into there and go into the newly created folder:

"C:/games/online boxing"

Run the "ob3d.exe" like I would as normal (double click) and chose the default settings.

That was pretty much it if I remember everything correctly.

PS. I would just like to say that I am new to Linux and Ubuntu so if anyone knows a better way of doing something then please by all means correct me !!!!

Unplug it and try again, Microsucks products kill the render but the process still continues. Well I have found this to be true anyhow but it maybe my configuration.

Indeed he was on the season which Micheal Bisping won, the season where Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock were the coaches. Poor guy got injured (his arm if I remember correctly) and had to pull out but looked strong until then.

Openly modifying the OB client could open the door to many exploits, it could cause bugs/errors/unknown side effects and compatibility issues with other clients. We could have in a few weeks tons of people all playing with different versions/modifications and all screaming at Mikkel that things don't work etc when it's not down to Mikkel and is their own fault for not leaving things alone.

On the other hand it may be fine, it may work 100% and is completely safe so don't take that as I am saying that it IS going to cause issues as I'm NOT, I'm just simply giving you my opinion.

So explain to me Ray what this does in more detail in a PM please, how does it do what it's doing, what do you change to achieve this etc.

I have removed the links for now but I will keep them so I can just put them back at a later date after you have explained this in more detail to me and we can trust it is not going to cause problems.
